What Is Halftone DTF Printing?

Halftone printing uses thousands of small dots to create shading, gradients and detailed effects in a design.

Instead of printing large solid areas of ink, the image is broken into dots of different sizes and spacing. From a normal viewing distance, these dots blend together to create a complete image.

In DTF printing, halftone designs can feel softer, lighter and more breathable because less solid ink is applied to the garment. This makes halftone printing ideal for anime artwork, portraits, vintage graphics and large t-shirt designs.
