🛒 HOW TO ORDER

Creating your custom stickers is quick and easy with our interactive StickEtch Sticker Creator:

1. 📤 Upload your artwork — We accept PNG, JPG, JPEG, SVG and PDF files.
2. 📏 Choose your size — Select the finished sticker size you require.
3. ✨ Choose your finish — The product image and simulated preview will update to help you compare finishes.
4. 🔢 Choose your amount — Your price, total and approximate price per sticker will update automatically.
5. 📝 Add your notes — Tell us about any changes, requirements or important details.
6. ✂️ Check your cut lines — Adjust the spacing, background removal, edge smoothing and corner rounding.
7. ✅ Approve your preview — Check everything carefully before adding your stickers to the basket.

The finish preview is a digital simulation. The appearance of the finished material may vary slightly depending on lighting, screen settings and the selected vinyl.

📁 ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS

For the best results, please upload a high-resolution PNG file with a transparent background.

We also accept:

• JPG and JPEG
• SVG
• PDF

Transparent artwork is recommended for custom-shaped stickers, but it is not required. The customiser includes background-removal controls to help create a suitable cut shape.

We check every piece of artwork before printing. If we identify any quality or production issues, we’ll contact you before proceeding.

We do not charge—and never will—for checking your artwork. That’s the StickEtch promise!

✂️ DIE-CUT AND KISS-CUT STICKERS

Our standard option combines die cutting and kiss cutting:

• The kiss cut cuts through the printed vinyl around your sticker design.
• The die cut cuts through the backing paper around the outside.
• A small backing-paper edge makes the sticker easier to peel and apply.

The customiser displays:

• A magenta line for the kiss cut.
• A blue line for the outer die cut.

These coloured lines are preview guides only and will not be printed.

You can select:

• Die-cut + kiss-cut
• Die-cut only
• Kiss-cut only

🛠️ CUT-LINE CONTROLS

Our customiser automatically creates a cut-line preview from your artwork.

You can adjust:

• Cut-line spacing — Changes the distance between your artwork and the cut line.
• Background removal — Helps remove unwanted solid backgrounds.
• Edge smoothing — Reduces rough or pixelated edges.
• Corner rounding — Softens tight corners in the cutting shape.
• Show or hide cut lines — Makes it easier to inspect the artwork.

The automatic preview is a visual guide. We’ll still check the artwork and cutting path before production.

🖼️ BACKGROUND OPTIONS

The uploader provides three background-handling options:

• Automatically detect background
• Remove background colour
• Keep original background

Choose Keep original background if the background is an intentional part of your sticker design.

For complex photographs, shadows, hair or detailed backgrounds, automatic removal may not be perfect. We’ll review the submitted artwork and contact you if any adjustments are required.

📚 ORDERING MULTIPLE DESIGNS

Each customiser upload creates one personalised sticker item in your basket.

To order several different designs:

1. Upload and customise your first design.
2. Add it to your basket.
3. Return to the product and repeat the process for each additional design.

This ensures that every design keeps its correct artwork, preview, size, finish, quantity and production instructions.

The free design service allows up to four reference pictures per design request. These pictures are references for creating one finished sticker design—they are not automatically treated as four separate sticker designs.

🔍 IMAGE QUALITY

For sharp printing and clean cutting, your artwork should ideally:

• Be at least 1,500 pixels on its longest side.
• Be supplied at 300 DPI where possible.
• Avoid screenshots and heavily compressed or pixelated images.
• Use a transparent background for custom-shaped stickers where available.
• Keep important text and details away from the outer edge.

Low-resolution artwork may produce reduced print quality. We’ll contact you if the supplied file is unsuitable for production.

🖨️ PRINTING AND COLOUR

Our gloss and matt vinyl stickers are professionally printed using durable eco-solvent inks.

This provides:

• Vibrant colours
• Excellent detail
• Water resistance
• UV resistance
• Improved outdoor durability

Our specialty materials—including holographic, metallic, clear, patterned and decorative vinyl—are printed using professional Epson EcoTank printers with high-quality inks.

Colours displayed on phones, tablets and computer monitors may appear slightly different when printed. Screen brightness and colour settings can also affect how a digital preview appears.

Very bright RGB colours—including neon greens, vivid cyans and fluorescent tones—may not reproduce exactly in print.

📏 STICKER SIZES

Sticker size is measured using the longest side of the finished design, whether that is its width or height.

Our standard sizes include:

• 2 inches — approximately 5 cm
• 3 inches — approximately 7.5 cm
• 4 inches — approximately 10 cm

The opposite side is scaled proportionally to preserve the original shape of your artwork.

For example, if you select 10 cm, the longest side will be approximately 10 cm. The shorter side will depend on the proportions of your design.

Need a specific finished size? Select the closest option and include the exact measurements in your artwork notes.

Example:

“Please make the longest side 9 cm.”

✨ STICKER FINISHES

💎 Gloss

Gloss vinyl produces a smooth, vibrant and reflective finish. It enhances colours, dark tones and fine details.

Gloss stickers are water-resistant, scratch-resistant and suitable for indoor and outdoor applications.

🌿 Matt

Matt vinyl has a smooth, non-reflective surface that reduces glare and creates a softer, modern appearance.

Matt stickers are water-resistant, scratch-resistant and suitable for indoor and outdoor applications.

🌈 Specialty finishes

Our specialty range includes holographic, metallic, clear, patterned, glitter and other decorative materials.

The customiser provides a simulated finish preview where possible. The final appearance will vary as reflective materials react differently to movement, lighting and viewing angle.

Some specialty finishes are laminated as standard. Please check the relevant finish information before ordering.

🛡️ PROTECTIVE LAMINATION

Protective lamination adds a clear layer over the printed surface, providing additional protection against:

• ☀️ UV fading
• 🧽 Scratches and cleaning
• 💧 Water and moisture
• 🌧️ Changing weather conditions
• 🔄 General wear and frequent handling

Gloss and matt eco-solvent stickers have an expected outdoor lifespan of up to three years.

Protective lamination can extend the expected outdoor lifespan to up to seven years, depending on placement, exposure, cleaning and environmental conditions.

Holographic, metallic and 3D stickers may be laminated as standard to improve durability. Please check the individual finish details for confirmation.

After placing your order, we may also send you a final digital proof for approval before production begins.

Production will not begin until any required proof has been approved.
